Complaints Process
In the first instance, please send details of your concerns to Matthew Parker, by letter or email on mparker@forestedgesolicitors.co.uk
Once your complaint has been received, the following will take place:
You will be sent an automatic acknowledgement within 3 days of us receiving your complaint, along with this policy.
Your complaint will be reviewed, which will include your file of papers, and you will then receive an initial written response, or contact by telephone. This will be within 7 days of us receiving your complaint.
If you are dissatisfied with our response, then an in-person appointment (or video call) will be arranged to discuss and aim to resolve your complaint. This will be within 14 days of us acknowledging your complaint. Within 3 days of the meeting, the agreed outcome will be confirmed to you in writing, by letter or email.
If the meeting does not resolve matters, a more detailed written response will be provided for the matter to be reviewed by an outside party.

Should you not be satisfied by the outcome of our internal complaints process, you have the right to contact the Legal Ombudsman on 0300 555 0333, via email at enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk or in writing to:

Any complaint to the Legal Ombudsman must be made:
Within 6 months of receiving our final response to your complaint
and
No more than one year from the date of the act or omission being complained about;
or
No more than one year from the date when you should reasonable have known that there was cause for complaint.

Professional Indemnity Insurance
We are required pursuant to Regulation 8 (1) (n) of the EU Provision on Services Regulations 2009 to provide you with certain information regarding our professional indemnity insurance.
We confirm that we maintain compulsory professional indemnity insurance with Sompo International Insurance with a current limit of £3m (which can be increased as necessary to cover any matter)
